The Vine Community Church observed the Feast of New Oil this past Sunday.  We had a wonderful time of food, fellowship, anointing, and prayer.  

The feast began with the congregants partaking of dishes that were made with oil.  We spent about an hour and a half fellowshipping and feasting together.  That's one of the great things about The Vine - we believe in doing life together.

After this, we traveled outside and Pastor Joe taught on the biblical foundations of the Feast.  Ryan provided several scriptures that we went through together and discussed. Here is the file if you would like to read the document.

Concluding this, Pastor Joe was anointed with oil and prayed over by the men, who in turn were anointed and prayed over by him.  The men then anointed their wives and children, praying over each of them.  It was a very touching ceremony and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day.

We are now looking forward to the Feast of Trumpets which we will observe on Wednesday, September 24th at 5:30 pm.  For those that will be attending, please bring a dish to share as we will have a meal together.
